This summer our family has spent a lot of time on the go. I’ve had loads of time to catch up on my reading list, and I have blown through some fantastic books this Summer. Here are three Summer YA books to read.
Summer YA Books to Read
Anna and the French Kiss
This book was excellent. In fact, the entire series was fabulous. I read all three of the books in the series in a single day.
The book evoked laughter and tears and had me on the edge of my seat more than once.
The book follows the story of the American, Anna. She’s forced by her dad to move to Paris where he’s now living as he writes a romance novel. She enrolls in the School of America in Paris where she meets Étienne, cue the swooning.
From the first moment that I met Étienne, I wanted him for myself (sorry Sean lol) even if he is short tempered.
But what summer read would be complete without an angsty love triangle. I won’t share any more details, spoiler-free here, but I highly suggest you grab this book this summer. And this is a book I’d purchase so you can reread it.

The Summer I Turned Pretty
The second book on our list, The Summer I Turned Pretty is a perfect beach read. This book is the first book in the series, and after reading the series, it did not disappoint.
The series is about Belly and the summers she spends at the beach with her family and Conrad and Jeremiah.
Belly’s life is measured in summers and the moments in between seem to matter little to her.
I loved reading about their summers. I loved the relationship between Belly and the boys.
The end of the book was sad, but it left me ready for the next book in the series. All of the books are easy reads and a perfect series for your beach day.

Twenty Boy Summer
This book was a great Summer read. It’s not as light as the others on the list, but it’s still good. It has love and loss, laughter and heartache.
The book drops us right into the midst of the drama when we meet Anna and her best friend Frankie who’ve survived an accident, but another has not. We go back in time and meet this lost person in the story.
Anna and her best friend Frankie have 20 days in Zanzibar Bay. While they are they, they agree to a game where they date a new boy each day on the quest for summer love.
Reading the story you hurt along with the characters but you also laugh and love along with them too. The story is a quick read that is perfect for a Summer read.
