Hey friends! I’m Brandee – I love flip flops, books, and Jesus, and I’m the least fashionable fashionista you’ll meet. I’m a wife, a mom of three, a nerd, and now a blogger.
This blog is a creative outlet for me – the first time I went to college I went for English Education. I love to write but I’ve never really used my writing for anything other than a few speeches here and there and a ton of college papers.
I attended SassyCon, a convention for direct sellers, and one of the things I took away was that it was time for me to be me. I needed to stop being what everyone expected me to be or told me to be and just be me. It was at SassyCon that I decided I was going to launch a blog and start sharing my love of fashion, books, and Jesus with others. And I would do that through writing.
Fashion. I own a fashion boutique selling clothing and other accessories – that’s where the fashion part comes in. I love clothing because it’s another part of me being me. I can dress how I want and feel fabulous doing it. And I want other ladies to love getting dressed in the morning.
Books. When I was a kid and got bored my mom would always tell me, “Go read a book”. What seemed like punishment at the time, quickly became a passion. I love books, especially YA books. I love to read. I’ve read as many as 800 books in a year although with three kids that number is far less this year. My goal is always 250 books in a year, and I want to share that love of reading with others.
Faith. I’m a sinner saved by grace. It took some low lows in my life to find what mattered. I believe in God and that he loves me beyond measure. Me being me means sharing that love with you.
That’s not all we’ll talk about here – travel, family, topics for direct sellers – who knows what else. I hope you’ll hang out with me here, have fun, learn something, read about a God who loves you. But more then anything else I hope you will find the courage to be you. So jump in, and join me on the journey.
